Fast Pace Health Hosts Representative Strong to Highlight Vital Role of Healthcare Access in Alabama

The visit provided a critical opportunity for the congressional leader to learn directly about the services provided to underserved populations and the unique challenges facing rural health care delivery. By touring the facility, Rep. Strong gained a firsthand view of how accessible, high-quality urgent care helps close the gap in medical services for residents in North Alabama.

The Fast Pace Health team seized the opportunity to brief the Representative on the organization’s substantial impact across the state. They highlighted that Fast Pace Health currently operates 26 clinic locations in Alabama, including 9 federally designated rural health clinics (RHCs), underscoring the company’s extensive commitment to serving the state’s most rural communities.

Gurley, has been a key contributor to Fast Pace Health’s efforts in the Rural Health Alliance and is actively engaged on a national level with the Urgent Care Association (UCA) on policy development and best practice guidelines.

Gurley’s experience recently earned her a major leadership role, as she was named the President of the Southeast Regional Urgent Care Association (SERUCA) on November 14, 2025. In this role, she is set to lead SERUCA in its mission to support education, advocacy, and specialty recognition for Urgent Care Medicine across the Southeastern United States.
