Our highly qualified health team is ready to offer fast, compassionate care for you and your family. Our Walls, MS walk-in urgent care clinic is conveniently located along Goodman Road.
At Fast Pace Health, our healthcare professionals and staff strive to ensure our urgent care centers are accessible for all. We seek to provide fast, quality care when you need it.
Urgent care is a great option for those having issues getting primary care appointments. In many cases, primary care appointments can be days away. Never mind the headache that comes from trying to schedule the appointment.
Thankfully, we can help take that headache away. Also, for those seeking primary care options, we do offer primary care at some select Fast Pace Health locations.
Our primary care services include wellness and preventative care, women’s and men’s health services, health screenings, immunizations, and much more.
With our ability to service non-life-threatening needs closer to home, we’ve also eliminated the need to travel to a hospital or emergency room far away, making our urgent care facilities a great alternative to crowded hospital emergency rooms.
Urgent care centers offer another alternative to busy emergency rooms. According to the Centers for Disease and Prevention Control (CDC), there are around 130 million emergency room visits every year.
One advantage of urgent care clinics over hospital emergency rooms is patient triage. In emergency rooms, patients are treated by the severity of injury or illness. It doesn’t matter when they get there.
However, urgent care centers are first come, first serve. What could this mean for you? Well, that means you could be seen much sooner at an urgent care clinic. Our average wait time is around 15 minutes, compared to the hours you could spend in an emergency waiting room for that ear infection or sprained ankle.
Aside from the long waits, emergency rooms also tend to cost much more than urgent care clinics. At Fast Pace Health, we accept most private insurance plans and offer self-pay options for those without insurance.
Urgent care has many advantages for those with non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses. However, it is important to understand that some conditions do require immediate treatment from an emergency room.
These include, but are not limited to:
We staff our urgent care centers with highly-trained and knowledgeable healthcare professionals equipped to provide urgent care for various illnesses and injuries.
Let’s take a look at some of the most common conditions we can address at our Fast Pace Health Walls, Mississippi location.
Some of the most common reasons for ER visits include treatment for minor burns, bruises, and broken bones. Thankfully, our urgent care clinics are equipped to help address many of these common conditions.
For example, our urgent care clinics are set up to handle and treat most cases of mild burns. Mild burns can include first-degree burns anywhere on the body or second-degree burns less than two or three inches in circumference.
Our urgent care centers can also help treat other minor injuries, including lacerations, scrapes, bruises, fractures, bumps, and concussions.
Life-threatening or severe injuries will require immediate emergency medical attention and should be treated in a hospital. These could include severe burns and lacerations, compound fractures, severe head injuries, or other severe traumas.
Another common cause of trips to the emergency room is stomach viruses or food poisoning. Symptoms of these can include nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, and more.
Thankfully, our urgent care services can help. There’s no need to sit in a crowded ER waiting room for hours while symptoms persist. If nausea and vomiting symptoms get you down and have lasted more than 24 hours, then it’s time to come visit us.
Our healthcare providers can help diagnose and treat symptoms of nausea and vomiting. Treatment interventions could include IV fluids treatment, prescription anti-nausea medications, and more.
Infections top the list of common reasons for primary care office visits. The good news is that most common infections are treatable with antibiotics. But that won’t do you any good if your appointment is still days away.
Our Fast Pace Health walk-in urgent care clinics can treat most common infections. These include conjunctivitis (pink eye), ear infections, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
Pink eye is extremely common among children and adults. This infection can cause redness, itchiness, and swelling in the eye. We can also treat most ear infections, which represent the number one reason for pediatric ER visits.
Infections like UTIs are also very common. These are marked by painful and frequent urination. Thankfully, our walk-in clinics are able to address these types of infections and more.
The various injuries and illnesses above are just some of the medical conditions we treat on a daily basis at our urgent care center. Other reasons for visiting our urgent care clinics include, but are not limited to:
At Fast Pace Health, our telehealth services employ the same quality care you’ll receive at one of our walk-in clinics, but without the need to leave your home. Our telehealth providers are able to provide quality care for numerous illnesses, including prescriptions and refills for many of the most common medical conditions.
Our telehealth hours are flexible too. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m CT, and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. CT. There is no appointment required. Telehealth is open for both new and existing patients.
