UNA Partners with Fast Pace Health for Behavioral Health Services on Campus
August 19, 2020 (Florence, AL) — Fast Pace Health is extending its behavioral health services to the University of North Alabama (UNA). Fast Pace’s team of psychiatric nurse practitioners, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed professional counselors offer outpatient care to patients of all ages with behavioral ¬health issues like major depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, and other behavioral health issues. Students, faculty, and staff of UNA are facing these types of issues are dealing with an inability to maintain both physical and mental health. This service strives to be a patient’s first step toward treatment and productive years of life.

Behavioral health issues affect up to 1 in 5 individuals in the United States (U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) and can be severely disabling.
At Fast Pace Health, our involvement in the communities we serve is at the heart of our mission. We are developing innovative programs and care delivery models to offer services to those with behavioral health issues. Our team of providers aims to disseminate education, information, and care to those in need on the campus community we will serve and those in the Florence, AL, community.
Ultimately, Fast Pace Health is not only seeking to bring awareness of behavioral health to UNA but the opportunity to improve the health of those on the campus with easy access to care right in the university’s health service clinic. Through Fast Pace Health, behavioral health services offered will consist of medication management and psychiatric evaluation appointments.
With Fast Pace Health, behavioral health appointments are held via telepsych consultation using a smartphone or tablet. Appointments are held in the comfort and convenience of a private exam room at UNA Health Services clinic and conducted in a professional manner. Our providers offer an effective and patient-centered behavioral health treatment strategy.
After consulting with the university’s health services, new patients will be guided to complete their initial online registration Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT. After completing the registration, an initial first appointment will be scheduled at a convenient time. Patients then check-in for their scheduled appointment, at the health clinic on campus, up to an hour in advance.
