Take a Deep Breath —  Fast Pace Behavioral Health is Here for You

Mental Health Awareness Month with Fast Pace Behavioral Health

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to learn about stress, how it affects our health, and what we can do to feel better. At Fast Pace Behavioral Health, we want you to know that you’re not alone. We’re here to help you manage stress in a healthy, safe, and supportive way.

What Is Stress?

Stress is what you feel when things get tough. It might come from school, work, family, money problems, or even health issues. A little stress can help you stay alert and focused. But too much stress for too long can cause problems in your body and mind.

Some signs of stress include:

  • Feeling sad, angry, or worried
  • Trouble sleeping or eating
  • Headaches or stomachaches
  • Feeling tired all the time
  • Not enjoying things like you used to

You’re Not Alone — And You Don’t Have to Feel This Way

Many people feel stress every day. But you don’t have to go through it by yourself. At Fast Pace Behavioral Health, we work with kids, teens, and adults to help manage stress in safe, healthy ways.

We offer:

  • One-on-one counseling
  • Medication Management
  • Help with anxiety, depression, and more
  • Supportive, judgment-free care
  • Virtual visits
  • Providers who listen and truly care

Ways to Cope with Stress

Here are a few tips from providers about how to deal with stress:

  • Talk about it. Don’t bottle it up. Talk to a friend, family member, or mental health provider.
  • Stay active. Even a short walk can help your mind feel better.
  • Breathe deeply. Deep breaths help calm your body and slow your heart rate.
  • Sleep well. Try to go to bed and wake up at the same time each day.
  • Take breaks. It’s okay to rest. Taking care of yourself isn’t selfish — it’s smart!
